Living Proof
September 1 - September 30
Artists’ Statement:
Our lives are marked by periods of oscillating between health and illness, between presence or estrangement from the body. The charcoal and pastel drawings withinLiving Proof put forward that it is through the very pain of experiencing distance fromone’s body wherein lies the potential for resurrection: that to turn inwards and consume oneself allows for the possibility of reemergence.
